"Winters Waltz"

I really enjoyed working with the mediums I used yesterday in creating my painting for the Give A Tree It's Gesture Challenge I decided to submit another painting to the challenge using of course these mediums again and I'm going to do a few more of these works to create a series. I combined acrylic paints with resin and chalk pastel dust for this work.

"Strike A Pose"

This weeks Daily Paintworks Challenge is: "Give a Tree it's Gesture Challenge"

I had fun doing this, it's a little different from my other work as I was experimenting with mediums.

I did it using acrylic paints (black, white and gray tones) then applied a resin pour over the painting and added chalk pastel dust for color which melted into the resin. I need to do more of these!

Another pair painting before these guys were trashed. I turned most of the rotted spots on these pears to the back so it wouldn't be a rotten pear painting, and yes sadly they hit the trash after posing for me!

"By My Side"

I took a week off from blogging, January was an extremely busy month and I needed to reorganize myself and catch up with everything, not to mention I just got all the christmas decorations back into the attic this past weekend...yikes!! With all the traveling for this job I've been doing I haven't been able to paint as much but I'm trying to stay on my game and keep up with it. Hopefully I will have a steady flow of work to post daily again soon!
