I painted this from a photo I took while staying out in the Provincetown dunes (Cape Cod National Seashore). As an artist I was privileged to get selected 3 times and stayed in 3 different dune shacks. The dune shacks were home to american artists from the 1920's - today. Miles away from civilization they are a haven for the creative mind. While the shacks have no electricity or running water it is amazing how satisfying the simple life can be. This was the first shack I stayed in - Margo-Gelb otherwise know as "Boris." From sunrise til sunset the color of the dunes is absolutely amazing!
